Ambassador program: applications opening soon

Know mini golf course owners? Our ambassadors will share PuttKeep with courses and earn a commission on the courses they refer, under the agreement below. We’re not taking applications yet.

PuttKeep Ambassador Program Terms

Version 1, effective to be set when applications open

1. Who we are

"PuttKeep," "we" and "us" means the person operating PuttKeep (an independent sole proprietor in New York, NY), 608 Fifth Avenue, 11th Floor, New York, NY 10020, reachable through the form at puttkeep.com/courses/ or at [email protected]. "You" means the ambassador. You join by accepting these terms when you apply, and you're in once we approve you by email. You must be 18 or older, live in the US, and give us your legal name, mailing address and email. We keep a copy of the version you accepted.

2. What you do

You share your PuttKeep link or code with mini golf courses, and you introduce them to PuttKeep. You don't need to send us invoices or reports to get paid. We track everything.

3. What you earn

15% of each subscription payment we actually collect from a course you referred, for as long as that course stays subscribed and this program runs. "Collected" means the monthly subscription price the course actually paid, after refunds, chargebacks and credits, and not counting sales tax, printed signs or other one-time charges. Free trials earn nothing. If a payment we paid you on is later refunded or charged back, we subtract your commission on it from your next payout.

4. Which referrals count

You get a link (https://puttkeep.com/courses/?ref=YOURCODE) and a code. A course is your referral if your code is recorded on its signup, either through your link or typed into the form, and it starts a paid subscription within 90 days of signing up. One ambassador per course: the first code recorded wins. It doesn't count if, before your code was recorded, the course already had a PuttKeep trial or account, had already contacted us, or we had emailed it in the previous 90 days. If a referred course cancels and comes back within 12 months, it's still yours. We don't use cookies. Our signup records decide, and we'll show you the record if you ask.

5. Payouts

A commission is earned once the course's payment has been collected and its 14-day refund window has passed. We pay earned commissions monthly by Zelle or PayPal once you're owed at least $25. We add up the commissions earned in each calendar month and pay you by the last day of the next month. Example: commissions earned in October are paid by November 30. If your balance is under $25, it carries over to the next month. Every payout comes with a statement listing your referred courses and the amounts. We need a completed IRS Form W-9 before your first payout. Until then, we hold your balance.

6. Disclose every time

You must clearly say you're paid, every time you mention PuttKeep, right next to the mention, not only in a bio, a link or behind "more." Lines that work:

  • "I'm a PuttKeep ambassador. I earn a commission if your course subscribes through my link."
  • "Heads up: PuttKeep pays me if you sign up with my code."
  • Social posts: start with "Ad:" or "#ad", plus one of the lines above.
  • Video: say it out loud and show it on screen.

Not enough on its own: "#sp", "#amb", "thanks PuttKeep" or a bare link.

If you own a course that uses PuttKeep, say so too. Only say what's true from your own experience.

7. Rules

You may not:

  • refer yourself, your own course, or any course you own, manage or work for;
  • bid on "PuttKeep" or misspellings of it in paid search, or use it in a domain, social handle, app name or ad account;
  • pretend to be PuttKeep, or make promises for us;
  • make claims we don't make (price, features, results, "guaranteed," "lifetime"), or post fake or paid reviews;
  • send cold or bulk email, use bought, rented or scraped lists, or send texts or automated calls to anyone who hasn't agreed to receive them;
  • spam forums, groups or comment sections.

You may send personal, one-to-one emails to people you already know. Those emails must include the footer we give you, and you must stop if they say no. Tell us about every opt-out within 2 business days, so we never contact them either. Follow the CAN-SPAM Act, the FTC Endorsement Guides and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. If you're unsure, ask us first.

8. If you break the rules

We can refuse or take back commissions on any referral connected to a violation, and end your participation. If your violation causes a claim against us (for example, a spam or false-advertising complaint), you'll cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.

9. Independent contractor

You're an independent contractor, not our employee, partner or agent. You can't sign anything or make promises for PuttKeep. You pay your own costs and taxes. You get no benefits from us. You're free to promote other products.

10. Taxes

We may report what we pay you to the IRS. For 2026, we file Form 1099-NEC if we pay you $2,000 or more in the year, or whatever the law requires. If we pay you through PayPal, PayPal may report it on Form 1099-K instead. You're responsible for your own taxes.

11. Our name

You may use the PuttKeep name and the materials we give you only to promote PuttKeep under these terms. That permission ends when you leave the program.

12. Changes and ending

We may change these terms or end the program by emailing you at least 30 days ahead. A change applies only from its effective date and never reduces commissions you've already earned. You or we can end your participation any time by email. If the program ends, or your participation ends for any reason other than breaking these terms, we pay commissions on payments collected through the end date, and we pay any balance within 30 days, even if it's under $25. After that, no new commissions accrue.

13. Liability

The program is provided as is. Neither of us is liable to the other for lost profits or indirect damages. Our total liability to you is limited to the commissions we owe you or paid you in the 12 months before your claim. This doesn't limit liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

14. Law

New York law governs these terms. If something goes wrong, email us first and give us 30 days to fix it. After that, either of us can use small claims court, or the state or federal courts in New York County, New York. These terms are the whole agreement about the program.
